The Aqua Bliss Spa

The Aqua Bliss Spa is not a typical Spa with Hammam and Sauna, but it offers the beast treatments in my opinion. The location is comforting and created by an Italian interior designer. David, the owner is very welcoming and has interesting stories to tell! Don’t forget to ask him about his experiences in Indonesia if you get the chance to.

The girls that are working there are super friendly and will directly offer you a cup of tea or glass of sparkling wine. Wifi is offered and works all through the venue.

For me it was the best massage and treatment I have received in all the Spa’s I visited in Barcelona:

The treatments

The Garra Rufa Fish:

As one of the only Spas in Barcelona they offer the Garra Rufa fish experience. This is something they do a lot in the Asian countries. I must say I was a bit afraid of this experience but there is nothing to worry about. The girls of the Aqua Bliss Spa wash your feet just before you will enter the bath and check, if you have any restrictions or wounds. The experience is fun and totally different than expected. It feels like the vibrations or small electrical shocks on your feet – such a weird experience! But it did not hurt in any way and it was not unpleasant. Afterwards, the most important part of it, your feet are soooo soft because of al the death skin that the Garuda fishes have eaten. /15min

Price: Starting at 15 €

Pedicure:

The pedicure is worked with a great eye for detail. It starts with a short foot massage that is very good and especially awakening for your feet. The nail polish used is O.P.I. and is one of the best ones, that you can find on the market. Also the visitors were very friendly, I met a women sitting next to me during the Pedicure and we had a nice chat! /60min

Price:  17 / 32 €

Facial:

After the Pedicure I got invited to a separate room, where they only have one, so be sure to take an appointment before stepping by for a massage. The facial felt like a wonder treatment. A lot of face massaging and good smelling oils and products. I felt so relaxed as I haven’t had since a while. I had the hydra lumiere treatment which creates a deep hydration for your face. /60min

Price: 69 €

Massage:

Directly after the facial another women entered the room and started asking me some questions about the type of massage I would like to receive. I have the problem that mostly the massages are not strong enough for me, so I always feel relaxed but not lighter. I explained her my experiences and the massage was amazing. This is one of the points why I chose this Spa as my favorite: the massage! I can’t remember to have received a better massage in a life-time ! She didn’t simply follow a protocol, but created the massage around my needs and really helped my body to fully relax. /50min

Price: starting at 35 € for 30 min

This sounds like a very relaxing experience. I’m not sure I would want fish nibbling on my toes. thanks for sharing.

Sounds heavenly. 35 euro for 30 minutes massage sounds reasonable. I’m seriously planning a spa therapy after reading your post.

I’m not a big fan of spas, but I admit that a bit of relaxation like this from time to time does not hurt. I would like to try The Garra Rufa Fish. Your words show that it is an experience worthy of the time and money.

Love a good spa experience… I tried the fish spa thing in Asia and it just feels so weird! I’d love to give this place a visit if I’m in the area!

This seems like a lovely spa escape. Barcelona has so many interesting things to do. But I am most curious about trying the spa experience where the fish eat dead skin off your feet!

I work for a medical spa so it’s always interesting to see what other spas offer. This is pretty awesome though to have the fish eating at your feet. I’ve always wanted to try it!
