Barcelona 080 Fashion Week: S/S2017

Good morning lovelies,

now it is time again to tell a new story about the 080 Fashion Week in Barcelona.

This year the shows were from the 27th of June till the 1st July in the INEFC sport club in Montjuic – a unexpected location for a Fashion Week.

In February, during the F/W 2016 Fashion Week I did complain a lot about the organisation. This year this point was resolved and the organisation went smoothly.

But what was better this year was worst on another part. Last year the location was beautiful and breathtaking, this year it was in a sport centre – I mean can you imagine.

I was able to see the athletes work while having a walk through the open area.

All in all it was a better experience thanks to the organisation but I missed the flair of fashion from last year.

The people

Same as last year the people of the 080 FW are simply the best part of it. Everyone is friendly, in a good mood and happy to meet other people around them.

Most of you have probably seen it, I am organising an ‘Be-Sparkling event in Barcelona this month of July, so I was happy to meet some of the most important people of the Barcelona Fashion Industry, inviting them all to the event.

Bloggers, Designer, Buyers, Influencers, … you can meet every type of person during a fashion week and have a great time.

The shows

I don’t want to write a lot about this years Fashion Shows but I want to show you my favourite pieces. Same as last year my absolute favourite show was from ‘Justicia Ruano’, who create designs that go exactly in my directions, elegant and powerful with a little touch of playfulness and special fashion.

Other great designers this year that surprised me were ‘Miquel Suay’, ‘Garzia Madrid’ and ‘Wom and Now’.

I hope you enjoy them!

Hi Tamara, I think you should just contact the brands and ask for invitations next season, they sometimes have some spare to give out 🙂
Good luck and have a good day! Hope to see you soon here again!

I’ve never attended any Fashion Show in my life. I always feel I’ll be under presentable for that crowd:(
Everyone looks so extraordinarily gorgeous!

I think style is very subjective! That is what I am trying to show with my blog, giving ideas and inspiration and not leads anyone should follow ! I hope the one or other outfit will inspire you!
Thanks for commenting, I hope to read you soon again!

Great photos, I love that white dress with the low V-neck! I’ve never been to any sort of fashion event, but I can imagine it wouldn’t feel as glamorous in a sporting center.

This is definitely a great experience and I love the pieces you chose and displayed. They are all so stunning. Barcelona is one of my favourite cities and I would love to be there during FW. Maybe I could actually go there next year.

Tamara, the designs looked elegant and linear.Though, I am not a fashion expert but the way you have presented the Fashion Week is exceptional. What are the prices in USD? Do you get Indian fashion brands there?

Hello, the prices of the clothing? This varies a a lot between each represented brand. If any of them interests you especially you can find it on their website. The clothing presented however are only wholesale for the moment.
Indian fashion brands? No ! It’s a show for the spanish brands to get exposure, I an image in inside brands have their own show in Deli?

Thank you Tamara. Do you know an Indian fashion label was inspired by an 18th century king?

I have never been big on fashion shows, to be honest. I find that most things paraded are not things I’d wear. I do enjoy seeing them through other people’s eyes though, and I loved your photos. Speaking from a PR point of view, I do understand why you were so disappointed with the location. It should indeed fit the style and mood of an event, and a sports center wouldn’t be my first choice. Especially if the athletes are running around, minding their business 🙂
