Barcelona’s best Clubs

Another post in my Barcelona chapter and it is about a super fun part, the best clubs in Barcelona.

Barcelona has some super fun places to go out to and here are my favourite ones:

CDLC

This is propaply my favourite place in Barcelona.
The club is situated just next to the beach, among other clubs such as Opium, Pascha, Shoko,…

When I go down this area it has always been for CDLC, the other clubs in the area are filled with way too many tourists.

CDLC is a club location, that is elegant, has a lovely setting and interior design and the music is great.

On Thursday and Fridays at the CDLC Club you have great deep house music and sometimes even super important DJs that come by the club, such as Blackcoffee or Louie Vega. – Barcelona has a lot of good music to offer!
The crowd is elegant, well dressed and not too drunk or on drugs as you sometimes know it from deep house clubs.

CDLC is a place to dress up, feel pretty and listen to great music.

But it is still long not perfect and also in this club – like in most in Barcelona – I am missing the friendliness of the people working there: I got introduced to the manager from a friend of mine and he didn’t even tell me his name.

Same goes for the guys upstairs at the door. I understand when a club is full and I also understand that you work with hundreds of drunk people everyday, but if you have friendly people, just be friendly, don’t you agree?

Anyway still my favourite spot in Barcelona!

Hotel Omm

“A mixture of rich kids and underground music”

This does probably meet this place well. The club is situated in a 5star hotel. You enter only if you’re on the list, but no-one actually checks if you’re on the list. So if you’re a girl and are pretty, just say you are 😉

Upon entering you are in the lobby of the club with a nice bar and setting. If you come here before 1.30am it is a good decision to first sip one of the cocktails at the bar and then go down the stairs to dance till dawn.

Below you will find deep house music and other styles such as drum&base on a very great level. Some nights it was nearly too hard for me and I love hard electronic music. But most nights it is amazing!
Go there on a Friday if you like this music, if you don’t then go on a Saturday when everything is quite commercial.

Drinks are quite expensive as they are in all good clubs in Barcelona but you’ll enjoy your time there if you like the type of setting it has.

Gatsby

One of the newer clubs in Barcelona, which is inspired by the movie The Great Gatsby. I remember the opening party, which was actually quite awesome.

I really like this club because of style and people.

Also here unfortunately the guys at the entrance are not always nice (but you can find them being nice 😉) but the interior will let you forget about this immediately: A floor full of power and elegance is waiting for you at Gatsby.

The place is actually more a restaurant than a club, so you can go there earlier and will find it filled up. After 11:00 pm the music gets louder and the people start to dance.

Besides the design of the club I also very much like the type of people that attend this location. Mostly local guests, elegantly dressed and at a age between 30-40.

Sundays you can go here to have a sort of party brunch, a bad copy of what I’ve known in New York and some other cities. Be aware that while there is a big party going on, the people are super young with a age between 18-25.

Eclipse / Hotel W / Wet deck

Different in summer and winter, but good at both times!

In summer you go on Sundays to the wet deck, a lovely location at the pool side of the Hotel W, just next to the beach. You’ll party under the starts starting as soon as 7pm at night.

If you want to go there, you’ll have to get used to huge waiting lines outside of the location. The place loves this, so in my opinion they build it up on purpose. Don’t go there on the opening night, unless you know someone that can bring you in in a different way.

A place to see because of it’s view!

The location is nice and on some evening you’ll have great Djs putting their records on.

In the winter time, the party is happening at a later time upstairs in the last floor at the club Eclipse. A place that you’ll have to see for the view at least! You can see all Barcelona and it’s coast from up here and it looks so beautifully at night.

The crowed in summer and winter is quite nice, people dress well and are there to have a good time.

BlingBling

Bling Bling is not one of my favourite places to be honest, but as it is the favourite place of a lot people, this list wouldn’t be complete without it.

BlingBling is a place to see and to be seen. All people going here try to dress up and be elegant. The music is commercial with different focuses depending on the night.

I’ve been a couple of times to this Club in Barcelona and I did enjoy myself, but it is not one of my favourite places, let it be because of the music or because it is the typical table&bottle type of club.

Anyway if you’re looking for some fun, to meet people and have commercial music, this is the place for you!

I’ve not seen a post about nightclubs in Barcelona before and for those who frequent clubs this will be very useful. Including links to he websites is a great idea.

Barcelona definitely has some great clubs! When I was there we partied pretty hard every night! I’m interested in the Gatsby club as I loved both the movie and the book! I’ll be looking more into that one for another future visit! #Wkendtravelinspiration

I would love to see that Gatsby club and how they were inspired to decorate it.

With awesome cultures including some of its musics, I think these bars are promising! I think ut would be wise to include at least one of these bars in the travel itinerary.

I have such a hard time going to clubs because I only travel alone and I don’t like going to clubs alone. But I think the Gatsby club sounds fun! The clientele is not immature and I bet the decor is lovely!

Great list, though I will pass the club scene to the youngsters. But I wouldn’t mind going to bars for a cocktail or two 🙂

Some of the club names are pretty funny. I’d check out Bling Bling and Gatsy just based on the names alone. I’ve always heard Barcelona is a fun city so I’m not surprised to see multiple clubbing options.

Wow! Looks like I missed out on that! I was in Barcelona on a day trip and I concentrated on all the Gaudi buildings.

Gatsby sounds amazing being more like a restaurant. I love Barcelona and everything related to Spain in general.

I have been to Barcelona but I didn’t experience its night life, I was too exhausted by all the sightseeing during the day. I almost stayed at the W when I was there, next time I will and try out their nightclubs.

I’m not much for the club scene, but the Gatsby Club is one that I would check out. Thanks for linking up to Travel Photo Thursday. #TPThursday

I like the sound of Bling Bling and Eclipse. Though I am not much of a club person – I like my early sleep and early rise when I travel as it helps me catch up on a lot of things that I anyway would want to see. One of days is great but not everyday .:-)

An interesting list. Gatsby sounds great. I have enjoyed the jazz bar in Casa Fuster much. Have you been there?

Barcelona is my favourite city in Spain, and one of the main reasons is that it has an incredible nightlife. I haven’t checked out most of these places yet, but these recommendations will definitely be handy for my next visit!

I’m not a big club guy, but I think you’ve sold me on a few of these!

My friend was actually recently telling me about the bar/club scene there since her and I met at one in Rome. Being the professional partier that I am, this is definitely up my alley! So many amazing places to visit and party at around the world. Need to visit Spain to go here and Ibiza too!

Have heard so much good about the nightlife in Barcelona and this post highlights the same. A very well compiled list of the best clubs in the city that are definitely worth a visit. Each of them have been nicely described too.
